What is a remote control? Remote Control is a device that is used to control a machine or an electronic device from a distance by radio signals.
The invention of remote control goes all the way back to 1893. Nikola Tesla successfully controlled a boat via radio signals. He called his invention "Teleautomoton." Tesla offered this invention to the U.S Army, however, they weren't interested to have remote controlled weapons and vehicles. In World War I, Germans used his invention to control boat&submarines and later to control bombs in World War II. The remote control for TV was first used in 1950.
